Entity

Add an entity​

As your investigation has just been created, it's time to add some data. To create an entity, you have several choices :

  • click on the + Entity button
  • right click on the graph
  • Add the first entity button in the right panel

Add an entity

  • value (required): the value of the entity, for example suspect@gmail.com
  • family and types (required): the type of the entity. Use the shorcuts (colored buttons) to go faster!
  • critical: is this entity crucial, decisive for your investigation? If yes, a particular style will be applied to this entity on the graph.
  • comments: observations you could have, reminders...
tip
  • Press Enter key to validate and close the dialog.
  • Press Escape key to cancel and close the dialog.

Once the entity is created, you can click on it on the graph, and it opens the entity panel.

The entity panel​

To display the entity panel, select a entity on the graph or in the entity list.

Edit an entity​

Once the entity panel is displayed, it is possible to update any parameter of the relation.

Add an entity

Informations​

The entity panel lists the informations your previously entered for the entity.

Resources​

It proposes a list of resources (depending of the choice you made when creating the investigation) you can use to investigate on this entity. You can add your own resources by clicking on the + ADD button. You can check any resource item to indicate that you've already use this resource: very useful to know your progress on this entity investigation, and also when sharing your investigation with another investigator.

Only resources you added / imported are editable.

The entity panel​

To display the entity panel, select an entity on the graph.

Delete an entity​

Click on the Delete button.

Deleting an entity will also delete all relations linked to this entity.
