Glossary
An investigation is made up of a certain number of elements that the investigator will add as he progresses in his research.
Entity
An entity is something the interviewer has been able to collect, and is usually represented by a circle containing the entity type icon. Among the entity, two types are illustrated differently (with a square containing the entity type icon) because they are criminally liable entities: individuals and companies.
Entities are organized into families, then into types, to which a certain number of resources correspond. Each family has its own color, and each entity type has its own icon, enabling the investigator to identify and filter entity more easily.
Event
An event is any type of fact, usually associated with a specific date and/or duration, and is represented by a diamond containing the event icon.
relationship
A relationship is a link between two entities or events. It can be any type of connection: possession, relation, dependency, action... and helps explain the relationship between elements.
Resource
A resource is a "tool" you use to investigate one or several types of entity. This resource can be a website (google), a script (socialScan) / software (Sonic Visualizer).
Osintracker includes some of these (often the most commonly used), but the investigator can also add others (and probably will!).
